Registry Style

Finding your style is an essential part of your bridal registry. Always remember to register for more sets of tableware than needed because accidents will happen and your lovely tableware will break! Keep in mind that after you are married your style is going to change in the years to come. This is helpful when you chose your flatware, fine china, every day dinnerware & stemware. We recommend going with a dish set that is classic so that you can interchange by dressing it up or giving it a modern day flare. This is easily achieved by going with a solid color dish set. Choosing a solid dish as your base allows you to mix and match while accenting with your linens leaving you with numerous options to dress your table for a summer tea or bright & cheery for the Christmas season.

The Art of Registry

Along with the decorating and planning you do for your wedding there is also the splendid opportunity of gift registry. During this week the team at ele3 Event Design & Planning will be giving you helpful tid-bits that will lead our brides & grooms blissfully down the aisles of department stores. Please do enjoy the first "tid-bit" of the week!

Sometimes brides & grooms have mentioned it can be rather overwhelming going to the store and looking at the potential merchandise in front of them. Instead of taking the accessible scanning gun and scanning things "just because" we recommend perusing the store online first to get acquainted with what they have to offer.

Online registry is the perfect fit for our busy bride and groom who do not have enough time to go to the store. This enables the soon to be wedded couple to relax, have a date night, call in Chinese and register without even leaving the comfort of their own homes. The other splendid thing about online registry is it offers more options than what the stores carry. Please also note this is true with shopping at the store as well, it is good to look at both options!

Mirror Mirror on the Wall....

The bride is the fairest of them all! Well, the mirror is not on the wall for this bride but I could not resist this beautiful centerpiece! I love that when you add a little height to the mirror it adds a new element for the commonly used centerpiece. When you elevate the mirror centerpiece a different level of sophistication is added in, literally! With the candles tucked in close to the vase this centerpiece creates a warm invitation of class and elegance that simply can not be refused. The other wonderful thing about this centerpiece is the theme is interchangeable. Depending on your flowers, shape of mirror & vases, along with your accent of pretty ribbon this exquisite centerpiece could be turned from classy & elegant to chic & swanky!

Along with event coordinating please note that elé3 Event Design & Planning rents the above lovely centerpiece with an array of much more and is able to do the floral arrangements for you as well.

The Bride & Bloom website is up & running! If you have not had the opportunity to view the website or their magazine I highly recommend it! Their spring magazine is hot off the press. If you are out and about this week stop in at Target they always have the latest issue. Both the magazine and website are inspirational and give a fresh perspective on the wedding world. I hope you have a chance to check it out!

I also could not resist showing off this beautiful fresh spring bouquet. This lovely bouquet was done by Sebesta Design, a talented florist in Lansing. The chartreuse green in the stunning floral bundle goes hand in hand with the below invitation. Although I do love the winter wonderland we have been in, there is something about Spring that inspires warm lovely thoughts of long sunny days which are coming near.

When You're Good You're Good

The new photo album is now a book!!! I just had to share this innovative idea from Good Stock. Not only is it a great gift idea for the holidays but also for a wedding gift or for you and your family!!! Brides do not fear of getting it done right after you get married remember you could even put together a book of your honeymoon! What a neat way to put together your photos and pass your memories down in a classy way! The process is easy you just download your pics and Good Stock does the rest! My favorite aspect of Good Stock is that it is a different way to show off your pictures. You no longer need to have the traditional large photo-album or flip frame out, you can keep your book from Good Stock on the coffee table as a conversational piece. Good Stock also has different options of a regular book or accordion style so you are able to customize your book the way you would like it. I understand why they named their company Good Stock because when you’re good you’re good! elé3 hopes you enjoy this good idea please do check it out!

Martha Martha Martha!

Yes, our Martha has done it again! Martha Stewart has mixed the above awe inspiring design to illuminate a room and leave your guest wanting nothing but more. I love this design because there is so much you can do with it! Not only for your Christmas Décor but you can take it to another level and use it with your dinner parties and of course weddings. I can just imagine a large scale canvas as a back drop at the altar at an outdoor wedding on a warm mid-summers eve. Soft luminary candles in large votives lining the aisle runner and welcoming the beautiful bride’s arrival. It spells nothing but romance and leaves your imagination in a whirlwind of inspiration! You can still use this lovely idea on a smaller scale to soften a room without bringing too much light in. My favorite part about Martha’s design is that she incorporates pink onto the face of the canvas, which leaves endless opportunities for color palettes and soft accents. Most importantly after your special event this piece of art work can be reused in your home! YEAH!!! elé3 embraces the idea of reusing anything and everything we can get our hands on and not just having the décor for a one night stand. Well, you get the idea we would like you to have things in your home that reminds you of your precious memories with your loved ones while still decorating it in the process.
